VARDAN, a non profit, public welfare, development and research oriented organization stands for the holistic development of the unprivileged and poor section of the society. Rural poor are the prime beneficiaries of the organization. The organization was formed in November,1996 by group of research and development oriented professionals. Over the past 20 years uk VARDAN has primarily focused on Livelihood Promotion, Water and Sanitation, Reproductive And Child Health, HIV/AIDS, Capacity Building, Social and Legal Awareness, Natural Resource Management & Drinking Water & Sanitation and Education of the poor with special focus on remote and backward hill areas of Uttarakhand.
